It can also happen in case if you move or remove some content like video or PDF and the link is still pointing to the content causes a 404 error or in other words a broken link pointing to nothing.

How does it work
It’s relatively fair and simple to use all you have to do is install this software on your system. After installation completes run the software. Now there a few things you should know here you will see two panels on the left side of the interface.
1. Enter or Paste keywords
Here you can put as much key words as you want, these are the keyword used as anchor text. The program will check the broken links against these keywords for you.
2. Enter or paste URL’s
Here you put the URL’s of the website that you want to check for the broken links. But be careful put only on URL per line and the next on the other line and so on.
Results
Once the program finishes scanning the pages it displays the results in the right panel you see on the user inter face providing you the detailed results of you search including URL’s status, links found, link status and much more.
